The Mazda3 is one of the best selling compacts in Canada and 2017 is looking to be no exception. Once again equipped with luxury features for a affordable price, though newly restyled 2017, the Mazda3 starts at $15,900 and is available as a sedan or as a sporty hatchback. With a variety of trim level GX, GS and GT trim levels. With a host of new upgrades like SKYACTIV-Vehicle Dynamics, G-Vectoring Control, and the i-ELOOP regenerative braking system the Mazda3 is way ahead of all the other cars in its class. Come down to Landmark Mazda to see the 2017 Mazda3 today.
The 2017 Mazda3 comes with a SkyActiv® 2.0L engine that boasts 155 hp and 150 ft.-lb. of torque. An optional 2.5L engine is available which pushes 184 horsepower and 185 ft.-lb. of torque. G-Vectoring Control (GVC) syncs up the engine, transmission, suspension, and wheel torque to optimize the overall dynamics of the car. GVC works with the car’s engine, chassis, transmission, and body to improve driving dynamics by making small adjustments and constant corrections to minimize the inherent jerkiness that occurs during driving. This reduces driver fatigue, improves the smoothness of driving, and improves fuel economy. The i-ELOOP regenerative brake system uses the power created by necessarily braking to further power the engine. The fuel efficiency shows the benefits with the 2017 Mazda3 sipping 8.0L/100km while driving in the city and 5.8 L/100km on the highway.
Very few companies can claim to offer a vehicle with as many standard safety features as Mazda can with the 2017 Mazda3. The list of safety features that are part of Mazda’s i-ACTIVSENSE System is truly impressive. Options like available smart brake support helps avoid collisions at speeds above 16km/h by alerting the driver and being able to apply the brakes in emergency situations when the driver isn’t able to respond. Lane Assist senses when the car drifts out of its current lane and can perform steering adjustments to stay in the correct lane. New for 2017, Traffic Sign Recognition uses cameras to scan road signs such as speed limits and stop signs. The active driving display shows important sign information so you can stay informed without the distraction of advertising. The Forward Obstruction Warning system helps detect obstacles ahead of the vehicle to alert the driver and prevent collisions.
For 2017 the Mazda3 has received a full makeover including a newly-designed KODO front fascia featuring a large grille, LED headlights, and fog lights. The Mazda3 comes with a lower and wider stance than it did before, with a new rear skirt and redesigned wheels. This new stance enhances aerodynamics and reduces drag, helping save on fuel economy. The cockpit is driver-focused with a better heads-up display than ever before, a new heated steering wheel – which comes standard on mid-level GS model – and dual-zone climate control. The interior has an elegant centre console and is complemented with an available 9-speaker Bose sound system which has been designed specifically for the Mazda3.
The 2017 Mazda3 has an impressive host of technological upgrades. GVC improves driving dynamics and control while the adaptive front-lighting system pivots the headlights up to 15 degrees around corners to ensure you can see what is coming at all times. The available Active Driving Display provides a full colour summary of trip information into the drivers field of view so they can focus on the road. The upgraded infotainment system comes with Mazda-CONNECT and allows for syncing to smartphones along with calling, navigation, and fully integrated audio streaming capabilities. The available Mazda Radar Cruise Control system allows the driver to preset the speed and distance of their car and it will maintain its speed; adjusting the speed automatically in order to maintain a safe following distance and avoid collisions.
Newly redesigned for 2017, the Mazda3 maintains its penchant for reliability, affordability, and luxurious features. Whether your focus is performance, safety, fuel efficiency, or amenities the Mazda3 delivers. Come see for yourself at Landmark Mazda by taking a test drive today.
